Monthly Meeting – Irish Family History Foundation/Roots Ireland Website with Dr. Brendan Scott

The talk will deal with the Irish Family History Foundation and its website, www.rootsireand.ie, which holds over 23 million records dealing with every county in Ireland, north and south of the border. Brendan will go through the site and demonstrate how to use it to your best advantage and to help users get its full potential.

This meeting will be available via Zoom and in person at the Weston Library.  The speaker will be on Zoom.

Speakers Bio:  Dr Brendan Scott has been manager of the Irish Family History Foundation, and its associated website, www.rootsireland.ie since 2017. He has written and edited almost twenty books relating to Irish history and is the editor of the Breifne historical journal, which covers the history of Cavan and Leitrim.
